The KGB Guild Service Medal of Honor
Presented to KGB Knights Drahkar and Zafirah

This Medal is the KGB's highest guild service award honor (Non-Military Service). It is bestowed on an individual by proposition and vote by the KGB Senate or by the KGB High King. This is a way to recognize the most outstanding contributions and services other than military. This award may be presented to individuals outside of the KGB or to an entire guild.

These two new members have already made a mark and been an example to all of us in dedication and sacrifice. The following text comes from the award request that was submitted to the KGB Senate by the AOC Faction Leadership.

Drahkar & Zafirah are newly knighted KGB members. Since their joining they have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their dedication to the guild. These two have donated not only thousands of resources, but large sums of gold to the guild. They are a shining example to KGB service and should be honored as such.

Please raise your mugs and these two, may they be an example for us all to follow.

Congratulations to both of you, it is a true honor to have you with us.

Wow guys, thank you. This is yet another way KGB has impressed me. Zaf and I have been looking for a community of players such as this for a very long time. Mature players, who work well together, who share a common commitment to the online adventure, are few a far between. We have played many mmorpgs and been in many guilds, but I’m hoping this will be our last guild for years to come.

Organizations survive and fail more many reasons. I learned somewhere along the way that organizations become healthy and strong as long as each person makes a some type of contribution, each day. There are many ways to making a contribution, leveling your toon, helping out a guildie, PVP, teaming up with KGB Knights, gathering resources, etc. It is nice to be recognized for our effort. It adds additional meaning to to the time we have spent and the resources we have donated. I know many others have made the same sacrifices and have worked hard to help KGB become the organization it is. We consider ourselves fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity to be part of the team. We look forward to future opportunities to the serve the guild and get to know the people who have made KGB what it is. Thanks again….and BEER!

I know I’m not as eloquent as Drahkar but I wanted to express my appreciation as well. Overall my thoughts echo his. It is simply a pleasure to make contributions to a guild that appreciates our efforts.
As he mentioned we have been searching for friendships that will last beyond the current game. Everybody I have talked to, played with and met have made me feel so welcome. It is truly like becoming a family.

I wanted to take a moment to congratulate these two for receiving this award. Drahkar, your post was absolutely amazing to read. It's rare to find anybody who actually takes the time to convey his thoughts to the public as you did here.

I also have only been part of KGB for a short time, but I feel as though I've gained a new family. That said, I think we're the lucky ones; meaning that KGB is lucky to have the two of you along; and I'm 110% sure that everyone else feels the same way. I remember speaking to you, Sarasin; before you joined the guild but had expressed interest in it. You were the first person I'd spoken to that actually expressed genuine interest, and I was impressed beyond words. Elph was on at the time, and was asking me what the two of us were talking about. I knew that you had to speak to her eventually, since I couldn't answer your questions anyways. I also remember her sending me pm's while you were talking saying how mind-blowingly impressive you were. We both decided at that point that you no longer had a choice in the matter, you were getting into this guild; like it or not.

Then along came Zafirah. I didn't speak to her as much as I did to Sarasin, but she didn't impress me any less. She is polite, and somehow manages to display a sense of elegance through text. I don't know how you do it Zaf, but keep doing it.

All that said, I am glad beyond words that I played a part in getting the two of you into KGB. We also all hope that the two of you will remain part of the family for years to come. Hehe, you've already spoiled us to the honor of your presence.

So here's a toast to the two of you, your well-deserved award, and many years of success and friendship.

Sarasin / Zafriah,

Let me be brief, as you'll discover I usually am. I've been with KGB for many years, through many games, and many different forms of leadership (including, more often than not, being in the leadership team). I may be wrong, but in all my time I cannot personally recall any members contributing as much as you two so soon after their induction. Sure, we all contribute a great deal (some more than others) in various forms, but how often do we induct new members whom contribute such a great deal in such an infant membership?

With that being said, I think the award says it all (an no, we don't give those out every day). We beer loving knights raise a mug to your efforts and look forward to many years, many games, and many...many piles of dead bodies to stand on top of....I will be raising a keg simply because I don't like needing refills.
