ASCENSION and the new office of KGB KING / QUEEN





The Knights of Glory and Beer has become a family over the last 18 years. In that time, as your High King, I have become older and I hope wiser. I have thought of my own mortality and the fact that I want KGB to continue after I am gone. I have been working closely with Prime Minister Romeo Montague over the last couple of months, and I am at a point where I am ready to share with you.

I have updated the KGB Constitution to include the rank of (GM10) KGB High King, and giving the (GM5) position to a new role called KGB King / Queen. Essentially, the King / Queen has most of the rights and privileges of the High King, but allows for a veto and a slight limitation on some powers. Upon the death , resignation, or inability to discharge the powers and duties of the (GM10) High King / High Queen, the (GM5) King / Queen would immediately assume the office of High King / High Queen as written in the new Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the KGB Constitution.

Operationally, the KGB King / Queen will have all accounting codes, passwords, and access to all KGB domain, computing infrastructure, and game account access needed to continue KGB long beyond my personal presence on earth.

If you had not guessed, Prime Minister Romeo Montague would assume the office of (GM5) KGB King immediately upon implementation.

The High King, and King will share the 5 star royal seal I have carried since I assumed the rank of High King from the rank of GuildMaster way back in 1999.

On a personal note, I have no plans to leave KGB ever, and am looking forward to several new games on the horizon.

I have been with KGB for what seems like forever and it definitely has become one big family to me and for many of us. We primarily game with each other but over the years we have helped out KGB members in real life in any way we could. There are no other organizations I feel that give off the family vibe as much as ours and I feel we are still around and kicking because of it.

I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to share the last almost 17 years of my life.

Romeo deserves it been through alot with him and jet. I've been here 16 of his 17 years. I remember hearing romeo bark orders and he was just a knight captain he was like 12 or 13 his balls hasn't dropped yet. We'll I can say congrats. O we still have to meet irl I met jet even though he likes to put kfc bags on his head.

Don't worry Jet. We always make a JetStar in every game we play.

I am glad this was done. If I learned one thing from Crusader Kings 2, is that uncertain succession often leads to getting pwned if your king unexpectedly croaks.

Just to clarify, I don't plan on retiring. I am all in for Star Citizen and whatever comes between now and then. Having a King and a High King ensures that you always have a empowered leader to alter our presence to each new world we decide to be a part of.

There are some differences in powers. The King does have sweeping powers, but requires Senate approval to change structure, and the High King reserves veto. I spent a couple months on this.

Section. 3 - Powers of the (GM10) High King / High Queen
Clause 1: The (GM10) High King / High Queen shall have the following powers:
Clause 2: To veto or override any execution of power or privilege by any rank or office in KGB without review or question.
Clause 2: To fill all vacancies in the Supreme Court and/or Senate at any time;
Clause 3: To expel a member or officer of KGB without question or review;
Clause 4: To establish uniform Rules of Membership, and uniform Laws of conduct;
Clause 5: To declare war, grant letters of marquee and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water;
Clause 6: To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the KGB, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Section. 4 - Powers of the (GM5) King / Queen
Clause 1: The (GM5) King / Queen shall have the following powers:
Clause 3: To expel a member or officer of KGB (excluding the (GM10) High King / High Queen) without question or review except by the (GM10) KGB High King

Laws or changes proposed by the (GM5) King / Queen would require majority vote from the KGB Senate, and would be subject to review and potential veto by the (GM10) High King / High Queen.

My most recent game was Archeage, I did get to level 50, but never got into the land baron role the current players did.

I am big into Star Citizen with a big investment (Fingers crossed) and will play any game that catches my interest before that.

Oh, we impale all the time in KGB.

The last time I petitioned to Jet, he nailed my hat to my head.

Thankfully, I have thick skull.

It's ok Jet. As long as there are more than a couple core KGB playing a title, a JetStar toon will get created and your legacy will continue on through both time and the Ages.

A lot of our long time allies/enemies are in the same position as the long standing leadership is now in there mid/late 30's/40's and the reality of career/life/family/gamer balancing becomes a net loss endeavor.

This is why when a game doesn't meet the standards of acceptable to pour time and money into the title in the first 30-60 days, I just exit the title as soon as the break even hurdle is met.

All I can say is Star Citizen had better not totally suck balls!

I just don't have new wife agro or a Corp. agenda to get rid of anyone with two brain cells above a specific TCO threshold. Oh wait, I do have that Corp. agenda....damn F50 bean counters.
