You are correct, GW2 is a faction. Simple fact that you spent time to read all these arcane rules earns you my seal of approval. I will sponsor you as-is.

Exactly, as a Federal run Faction by the High King (Entire Guild Effort) you have the 10 days, but just as you stated a State run Faction is dependant on the High Chancellor and his own personal recruiting methods. Its also good that you're eager to join KGB proper, but I can't stress enough how important it is to get to know the people you want to game with and, more importantly, to let them get to know you. Keep hanging out with us in vent and joining in on group pve and pvp and everyone can get to know you and vice versa. Finding a sponsor at that point will require no further effort on your part, as someone will likely volunteer without you even having to ask.
