KGB DARKFALL DECLARED OPEN FACTION





The first post in the KGB DFO forum is dated 11/29/05 04:35 PM. Many folks were real excited, and peak of DFO represents a high point in KGB power and participation like we have not seen since the days of Shadowbane and UO before it.

Frustration, problems, and challenges in the game eventually caught up with us, and for the last 8 months or so, just a skeleton crew remains in the game. With some of the last folks finally backing off for RL reasons, we are finally declaring the faction "OPEN".

DFO has represented some of our most successful times and some of our least successful. I hope that those of you that still enjoy the game will continue.

On a personal level, I will continue to maintain the BOT, and the KGB Geodin's Song island stronghold for as long as people use it. Special thanks to Ismash who has kept the dream alive over these long months.

Thanks to Critter and all the others who kept the KGB tag flying proudly in DFO for all these years.

It is time to move on. You may come and go from the KGB organization as you please as stated in KGB law regarding an OPEN faction.

Thank's to all of you that played a part in making KGB a success in DFO over the long haul.

I remember the day the server opened and Jet was running with a city stone to Khosgar, sweating bullets, lol.

DFO was epic in it's desire to bring pvp conflict. It fell short as many games do but it did provide some fun moments for all of those who played.

Thanks to all those who played during and after I did.

DFO was fun at first.
But it promised a skill based game which a lot of PvP folk understood as twitch skill and not toon skill. The grind for every pvp skill killed it for me.

I miss the crazy battles with half our force getting disconnected at server lines with all those mounts waiting.

I have to say, it was the best mmo that I ever played to this time,
UO was fun because it was the first one and with freedom, but nothing compared with the thrill of battle of hundreds of players tha df had.

And a great epic moment of riding with kgb folks for defense of the EU-KGB Andruk holding together with CoTC and a clash of 200 players battle on the plainfiled near ottenhall is still in my memory,

Hard to believe it has been 7 years already.

Tasos is still a salad tossing wanker who deserves a fiery painful death.

Beta and Early EU were da bomb yo!

We did have some great moments in Darkfall. It was one of the most frustrating games to play as well!

Many epic and glorious times were had. KGB spearheaded mass combat in that game and succeeded in doing things that no others had the balls to do.

I had a blast playing darkfall with ev1 it was a good game but its the camaraderie that made the game as good as it was for as long as it was played.
