Yeah, I'm sure we're all itching for something to do, I mean, hell, a lot of people went back to WoW it seems, and if summer semester is any kinder to me than this semester has been, I think I will as well. My girlfriend is studying abroad the first half of the summer and all of the fall, and it's been like six months since I've played an MMO. First person shooters just aren't cutting it anymore. But just because we're anxious to get our hands on something doesn't mean we should be reckless. I mean, look at Vanguard, it ended up being far from perfect, and interest diminished within what... three months? From what I've been hearing of it, if I don't at least get to try Conan in an open beta, I'm debating whether I should even buy it during the first few months at all. I'm dying for Darkfall to come out, but I've been thinking lately that I rather wait a bit longer for the ideal game to come out and hit it strongly once it does, than to make waste a bunch of time and money on a game that just wasn't meant to be due to impatience. In other news, I have three real-life buddies that are addicted to PvP that will be joining us for Darkfall (and I guess if it's good, AoC.) And at this rate, Bishop will be back by the time Darkfall hits :P (Feb 2009) |
